Electrolux has picked up four prestigious iF Design Awards celebrating the company’s innovative design in home appliances.
“Winning an IF award is a symbol of outstanding design achievements and the innovative power of design when used strategically”, says Pernilla Johansson, Chief Design Officer.
“More than 7,200 entries from 56 nations across 7 design disciplines were evaluated by 78 independent international design experts. The four awards we won shows our ability to stand out.”
Electrolux Matt Black Range
About three years ago, when this project was in the early research phase, the Design team came to an obvious yet critical insight that became the guiding star for the whole range.
As the palette of materials for kitchen designers grows broader, moving away from the monolithic, the uniform and the glossy, should we not as an appliance manufacturer create an offering that embraces this notion? Something that is understated, subtle, which blends in and compliments its surroundings, rather than competing with it.
Electrolux ComfortFlow 700
Inspired by our Scandinavian Design heritage and values, the Electrolux ComfortFlow 700 electrical shower heater is a complement to the sanctuary of the modern bathroom. Inspired by the environment in which it sits, the form is slim, clear and iconic and expresses itself with tone-in-tone colors and a mixture between gloss and matt textures. The ComfortFlow 700 is technologically embedded to mitigate temperature spikes and scalding, even with irregular water supply pressure, delivering up to 100% more stable water temperatures for the most delightful shower.
Electrolux Pure D8.2
Pure D8.2 is not just our most silent vacuum cleaner ever but also a complete silent experience in all details. The surfaces are smooth and matte, the bumper sides have textile texture and the display goes tone in tone with the rest of the cleaner. The canister and the nozzle are designed together as a system and the Smart Mode Technology gives you an effortless cleaning experience and allows you to go between carpets and hard floor. The integrated handle on the canister is well balanced and serves as the cord winder control. Moreover, 55% of the product is made of recycled plastics. The Green version is made of 75% recycled plastic.
Electrolux Pure Q9
Pure Q9 is the light-in-hand, powerful 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner designed to take the effort out of cleaning, and with interior inspired materials so that people want to have it out in their living environment. Aluminum’s strong and light material properties work perfectly as the product’s back bone and leather with its softness and durability is perfect for touch points as handles.
It is a high performing product with reduced sound. It glides from charge to use and back to charge effortlessly, just grab the handle and go. Being self-standing and having a dusting brush attached to the hand unit also adds to the overall smooth cleaning experience.
