As a seal of outstanding design, Electrolux has this year been recognized with five globally renowned iF Design Awards.
The winning products are: The AEG CombiPro FreshPlus refrigerator, the Electrolux RealLife dishwasher, Electrolux Design Line dishwasher, the AEG MaxiSense Combi induction hob and the Masterpiece Collection of premium kitchen tools.
“It’s an honor to receive this prestigious award that recognizes so many of our best-in-class product designs,” says Lars Erikson, Head of Group Design.
The iF Design Award, introduced in 1954, covers industrially manufactured products in the areas of living, work, leisure, and healthcare. Entries were judged by an international jury of more than 53 renowned experts. The winners will be featured in an online exhibition on the iF website. This year almost 5,000 entries were received from more than 60 countries. The awards ceremony takes place on February 27, 2015, in Munich, Germany.
The 5 winners
AEG CombiPro FreshPlus range
This range of free-standing refrigerators features the EU’s top A+++ rating and an innovative fading LED lighting solution, which adds a premium touch. Exterior design elements include metal handles and new touch-controls on the door.
Electrolux RealLife® range
Using almost 50% less water than any other dishwasher currently sold on the European market, this range recycles water from the final rinse of the previous load. With its XXL tub, RealLife accommodates a three-course dinner set for up to 15 people.
Electrolux Design Line
Drawing on the special characteristics of stainless steel, Design Line dishwashers offer a new premium level in the freestanding dishwasher segment. The XXL tub and slim door ensure that there is extra space for large after-dinner clean-ups.
AEG MaxiSense Combi
This new induction hob gives consumers the flexibility to move utensils around the hob, and unique split-functionality allows two different cooking temperatures for the same pan. The overall design is simple and elegant: Equipped with a full-touch, color display panel, there are no functional markings, apart from a small on/off button.
Masterpiece collection
Sold in selected markets in Europe and Asia Pacific, this premium range has been developed for customers who want to cook restaurant-quality meals at home. The “timeless”, robust design makes use of materials such as stainless steel and die-casting alloy.
