Food mission – Sustainable consumption and labor integration – Stockholm, Sweden

Electrolux is supporting Stockholm City Mission to open a social restaurant. This restaurant serves meals prepared using surplus food from Stockholm City Mission’s food bank. The project also focuses on labor integration as newly arrived immigrants and long-term unemployed will be trained in the restaurant to enable them to get a job in a professional kitchen.

Global sustainability curriculum

Large amounts of food and energy are wasted through traditional culinary practices – both inside the kitchen and in all the preceding steps in the food supply chain. The Sustainability Curriculum was created to help address this reality, to educate students and professionals on how to make sound food sustainability decisions and to empower them to lead change across the globe.
