A game-changing vacuum cleaner

In the past, better dust pick-up meant higher power use and lower efficiency. But Electrolux UltraOne Quattro turned history on its head by offering ‘A’ grade performance as well as lower energy use.

European legislation raises the bar

On September 1st 2014, new EU energy labeling and eco-design regulations came into force. They require corded vacuum cleaners to be graded using an A-G scale on energy efficiency, dust pick-up on carpet and hard floors, and dust re-emissions. Noise must be indicated in decibels. There is now also a maximum cap on the motor of 1600 Watts.

Dashing assumptions

After years of dedicated research, development and testing in anticipation of the legislation, the new Electrolux UltraOne Quattro was launched as the sole AAAA labeled vacuum cleaner on the market—performing at the highest level on energy efficiency, dust pick-up and dust re-emissions. With energy use of around 900 Watts, the UltraOne Quattro inverts the long-held assumption that more power equals better performance.

Brand enhancement and strong demand

As the first AAAA vacuum cleaner on the market, the UltraOne Quattro confirms the Electrolux brand as an innovative sustainability leader. It is part of the Eco Force range featuring high performance and low energy consumption.

Watt the?

Innovating around energy efficiency in vacuum cleaners by focusing on technology and the way components work together helps Electrolux reach the Small Appliances element of our carbon target to reduce emissions 50% by 2020. When new legislation comes into force in 2017, we’re aiming for vacuum cleaners with even lower wattage.
