Engaging in dialogue at the AIESEC Youth Action Summit, Henrik Sundström, VP of Sustainability Affairs, explored ways Electrolux can contribute to global challenges.
Getting insights at AIESEC Youth Action Summit 2015.
Since 2003, Electrolux has actively worked with AIESEC, the world’s largest youth-led network, spanning 126 countries. AIESEC’s 70,000 members are known for their passion for global issues, leadership development and cultural understanding.
As a testament to our shared values and strategic partnership, AIESEC invited Electrolux to take part in its annual Youth Action Summit in 2015. The three-day conference was held in December in collaboration with the Office of the United Nations Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth to engage young people in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event brought together AIESEC members with experts, government, business and thought leaders in conversation on the SDGs and our collective contribution to realizing them.
Tasked with outlining the business perspective of tackling global challenges highlighted in the SDGs, Henrik Sundström, VP of Sustainability Affairs at Electrolux, shared his perspective on the role that Electrolux plays as a leading appliance manufacturer.
The event was a great opportunity to tap into young peoples’ conversations and explore opportunities to work together on local projects that will make an impact on SDGs such as 'Zero hunger' and 'Responsible consumption and production'.
Another aspect of our strategic partnership with AIESEC is offering internships. For more than a decade, Electrolux has benefited by accessing a gender and culturally diverse talent pool and has contributed to developing a strong employer brand.
